The Kennedy assassination (Interactive puzzle book)
Project:
This application is a part of an interactive puzzle book, which was made by a group of 16 “Art and Technology” students within 10 weeks. Every student had to make one level that contributes to the main story that is based on the book “The time machine” of the author H.G Wells. The main story was written and designed by the team that I was working in.
Story:
John White is a victorian scientist who tries to travel in time to revive his dead wife Sarah. When trying to launch his time machine the first time, the machine gathers all kind of objects from the past and the future in his laboratory. In order to restore the balance he has to bring back all of these objects to the right place in time. One of them is the rifle of the Kennedy assassination. John has to travel to the Dealey Plaza in Texas on the 22nd of November in 1963 in order to bring back the rifle before Oswald will fire the fatal shot at 12:30.
Gameplay:
The goal of the level is to bring the rifle, that was used by Lee Harvey Oswald to kill president Kennedy, back along the Elm Street to the Texas School book depository. The player has therefore two obstacles. The rifle needs to be brought back before the presidential convoy passes by, but also moved with care, because the police officers that protect the president will arrest John with a rifle in his hands.
