Spielraum (Album cover)

Project:
Spielraum is a young pop band that recently released their first album. They asked me to design a CD cover according to their music, which is expressing the way of modern living. On the one hand a time of endless possibilities, on the other hand a struggle of competition and time. Their music is produced for those who like to think and feel while listening to music that uses metaphors and symbols.

Concept:
The songs on Spielraum’s first album are building upon each other in mood and temperament. Every song on the album is representing one of the characters on the cover. Therefore the cover supports the lyrics by changing the landscape in the background and expressions within these four characters. The symbols within each character are representing each song individually in a simple way.
